Dismuke Elected President of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association 2018-2019

Dismuke Law is proud to announce that its managing partner David C. Dismuke has recently been elected President of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the PCTLA since 2013. We are thrilled to see his leadership continue into the next year as he serves as President.

What Are the Objectives and Goals of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association?

Uphold and defend the principles of the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Florida; to advance the science of jurisprudence; to train in all fields and phases of advocacy; to promote the administration of justice for the public good; to uphold the honor and dignity of the profession of law; to encourage collegiality; mutual support and cooperation among members of the bar; to diligently work to promote public safety and welfare while protecting individual liberties; to encourage the public awareness and understanding of the adversary system and to uphold and improve the adversary system, assuring that the courts shall be kept open and accessible to every person and that the right to trial by jury shall be secure to all remain inviolate.

A Track Record of Service

David C. Dismuke has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association since 2012. The Florida Justice Association (FJA), formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (AFTL), is an organization dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s citizens and consumers. We passionately believe that all Floridians benefit when deserving individuals have a fair chance to seek justice in our state’s courts and that Florida’s consumers are made safer when large corporations and industries are held to a high ethical standard and accept fair responsibility for their actions. FJA works in the legislative, political and public areas to ensure that Floridians know and understand the importance of their rights to justice and to make certain that these rights, which are at the very core of what it means to be American, are safeguarded and protected.

We are sure that under David C. Dismuke’s leadership, the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association will continue to fulfill its mission.
